Sumedha is a non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act. 1958, for assisting students from economically deprived sections, building the capacity of the community and its constituents through training, technology transfer, skill development and education and fostering participatory process of sustainable development.
Sumedha believes that the society and the country will greatly benefit from development of talented resource poor children as it would improve its human capital base and economic equity.

Sumedha is identifying a socially committed faculty member in every college to act as an honorary counselor to the resource poor bright students.
Sumedha not only provides scholarships to needy students but also organizes life skill training camps for these students.

Sumedha helped Pawan Kheskani (2004-05) from Jaipur for 6 Years and today he is working as a marine engineer and has started contributing to the cause of Sumedha.
Jitendra Jaitawat (Year 2005-06) from Pali obtained B.Tech. Degree from MNIT with the support of Sumedha. Presently he is working in Goldman Sachs, Tokyo, Japan.
